Irving

We are very proud to help fuel the dreams of Special Olympic athletes in the New England area. One way that we do this is through our Fueling Dreams program. Since 1999, Irving has helped to raise more than $2.4 million for Special Olympics state chapters through this exciting and rewarding program.

One day each year is designated as "To Serve and Protect Day" where Special Olympics athletes, coaches and law enforcement officers work alongside Irving employees to pump gas, wash windows and greet customers at designated Irving locations while collecting donations for the Law Enforcement Torch Run, a relay run that brings the Flame of Hope to the Opening Ceremony. This year, the "To Serve and Protect Day" was held on July 28th. As always, the event created much excitement among customers and employees at those participating Irving locations.

We also raise money for the Fueling Dreams program by selling commemorative car window clings for $1 at participating Irving locations. This year, Fueling Dreams clings were sold from July 9th through August 5th. Thanks to your generosity, we had a record year and raised over $370,000! 

Another way that we support the Special Olympics is at the annual State Summer Games in NH. Our employees volunteer to help run the Bocce tournament. Many of the same employees volunteer year after year. All who participate say it is a very rewarding experience for them.

We also invite Special Olympic athletes to enjoy Irving's hospitality nights as our guests at many of our sponsored teams' sporting events. It is a special evening for athletes and employees alike.
